Universities UK and GuildHE are holding a ‘talking shop’ on the impact of the pressure on university places this year.

Given the media interest in this issue, the day will aim to give communications, marketing and admissions colleagues information about changes to 2009 admissions (Clearing 2009, the freeze on additional student numbers, the new Adjustment Period, the new points-based immigration system) and the impact these will have on both domestic and international recruitment.
Speakers will include representatives from UCAS, UUK, the Delivery Partnership and the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS).
UUK will also be holding a talking shop on coping with a pandemic, aimed at communications, marketing colleagues, and those working in student services.  This will take place on Tuesday 28 July 2009.  Further details will follow shortly.

Each talking shop will cost £75 to attend or at a discounted rate of £125 for attending both.
