GuildHE’s 2019 Annual Conference and AGM will be held on 12-13 November, at Ravensbourne University, London.

The conference, Imagining the Future, will explore visions for the higher education sector in 2030 and will consider how we can realise those visions.

Keynote speakers at the event will include Matthew Taylor, CEO of the RSA (Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce) and Sir Anthony Seldon, Vice-Chancellor of The University of Buckingham. Details of other speakers will be announced in due course.

For the fourth year running, conference fees have been frozen at £300 for the first delegate, and £250 for additional delegates. SU Officers will be able to attend the conference free of change.

Overnight Accommodation

GuildHE has secured accommodation for up to 40 delegates at Ibis Hotel London ExCel for the night of 12 November, at £155 including breakfast. The hotel is a short journey from Ravensbourne University (via the Emirates AirLine). Accommodation will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis, and we would encourage prompt booking as there is a major Tennis competition taking place at the 02 Arena during that week, meaning local hotel spaces are limited.

Transport

Ravensbourne University London is located on the Greenwich Peninsular, next to the 02 Arena and North Greenwich Station. London City Airport is a short journey away via the Docklands Light Railway.
