GuildHE has now published our formal responses to the OfS consultations on student outcomes, TEF and underlying data, and you can find the consultations below. Alongside submitting our consultation responses our Deputy CEO, Alex Bols, has published a blog on Wonkhe highlighting some of our key concerns.

Alex highlights the need to make the progression to professional and managerial careers a more robust indicator through strengthening the data and broadening the metric. He also raises concerns about the data burden resulting from the proposals, particularly for smaller providers and the need for a transparent prioritisation process. But underpinning our response is a concern about a lack of trust with the regulator. The proposals give the regulator a lot of discretion of when and how to use their powers and so trust is key to be reassured about how they use these powers. As ever, when there is limited trust then there is an expectation that everything is spelled out and all the processes are very clear and transparent.
