Matthew leads on policy areas relating to place, industrial strategy and knowledge exchange.

Before joining GuildHE, Matthew was the Marketing Manager for a charity. He’s worked at the Centre for Charity Effectiveness, City, University of London, in project management and business development. In 2009/10, Matthew was the Director for Student Development & Activities at the University of St Andrews Students’ Association. 

Matthew holds an MSc in Voluntary Sector Management from City and an MA in Classics from St Andrews.

Outside of work, Matthew serves on the PCC for Battersea Parish Church. He was previously the Honorary Treasurer and Trustee at Community Southwark for six years.
