GuildHE, one of the recognised representative bodies in higher education comments on the Longitudinal Educational Outcomes data released by the government today (1 December).

Gordon McKenzie, Chief Executive, GuildHE said:

“We welcome the greater inclusion of self-employed graduates in the data. This gives a more accurate picture for graduates, especially those in the creative industries where around 6.5% of creative arts graduates are self-employed one year after graduation.”

“This data now shows that creative arts graduates entrepreneurial skills mean their employment prospects are comparable with other subjects and rectifies the misconceptions in the previous LEO release.”
