The GuildHE Research and Knowledge Exchange (RKE) Symposium is our annual collaborative event bringing together members of the GuildHE Research Consortium and the Knowledge Exchange, Innovation and Place (KIP) Network.
The day will open with a welcome from Professor Emile Bojesen, Director of GuildHE Research and Director of Research and Innovation at the University of Winchester, and Mhairi Ambler, Head of Knowledge Exchange and Impact at Falmouth University, followed by an overview of GuildHE’s current activity in research and knowledge exchange.
Key sessions include:
- Capturing and evidencing the full value of knowledge exchange - exploring KE metrics, what they capture, and how we can strengthen approaches to measurement and impact.

- Dr Valeria Ramirez, Researcher specialised in socio-technical measurement and evaluation for academic impact and knowledge exchange, University of Cambridge
- Engaging with policy: how to leverage specialisms for impact - featuring insights from colleagues at the Parliamentary Office for Science and Technology and the Universities Policy Engagement Network on connecting research expertise with policymaking.

- Supporting technical specialisms: the role of technicians in RKE - reflecting on the contribution of technical colleagues in research and KE-focused environments, with perspectives including the National Development Centre for Technicians and Harper Adams University.
