GuildHE is a company limited by guarantee and a registered charity. It is governed by a Board of Trustees (called the Executive Group), which meets 6 times a year and is comprised of heads of institutions elected from our membership.
The Board has devolved responsibility for the management of the charity to the Chief Executive Officer, who is responsible for GuildHE's strategy and operations. The CEO attends all Executive Group meetings and leads efforts to appoint new Board members as and when required.
GuildHE's Council, consisting of all the heads of member institutions, meets 4 times per year. It is involved in major decisions including any changes to the Articles of Association or other membership documents. It also provides a valuable forum for the leaders of all our member institutions to come together for networking and thought sharing.
