Our mission is to make the invisible visible. We advocate for smaller-scale, specialist, and non-traditional institutions representing diversity in the sector - those that are the unsung heroes of higher education, nurturing talent and driving innovation across a range of vocational and technical subjects.
We are champions of diversity and inclusion, both as a community and as individual institutions. As a team, we are committed to pursuing the highest standards in all our work, working effectively together, deepening our communication, valuing diversity in all its forms and cultivating an equitable environment for everyone.
We are collaborative, inclusive, innovative, forward-thinking, brave, curious, and respectful, all while operating with integrity and focusing on impact. These are principles that guide the team's daily work and interactions with our members and those across (and beyond) the higher education sector.

Thought leadership
Because we are focused on building a brighter tomorrow together, we take very seriously our role in sector leadership. We work to introduce new ideas, to identify best practice, and to share critical analysis of existing ways of working in order to making improvements that can deliver real impact.
We regularly publish articles and think pieces in sector media outlets like Wonkhe, the Higher Education Policy Institute (HEPI), and Research Professional.
