Ellen is a key player in GuildHE's policy work, focusing on the student experience and research landscape. Since joining in 2023, she's been instrumental in shaping policy related to student support, postgraduate research students, and open access. Ellen also leads GuildHE's EDI program, ensuring inclusivity is embedded across our policy and advocacy work. In addition, she manages the GuildHE Research PGR programme, providing resources and support to postgraduate researchers.

Ellen's experience at the University of Bristol's Institute for Learning and Teaching, where she helped develop innovative teaching and learning solutions particularly in accessibility, inclusivity, and wellbeing, provides a strong foundation for her work at GuildHE. Prior to joining GuildHE, Ellen lived in Paris as an English language teaching assistant. She now lives in London and enjoys exploring the city, long walks, travelling, and reading.
