Policy Officer
Joining in August 2026, Sophie is our newest GuildHE team member and brings a wealth of research impact and engagement experience from her previous role at Jisc. In her position as Policy Officer (Research and Innovation), Sophie supports our policy initiatives work and the GuildHE Research Consortium, coordinating member-focused events, and taking the lead on our flagship annual PGR Doctoral Festival.
Beyond her policy work, Sophie’s background includes teaching across a range of levels (KS3 to undergraduate) in the UK and USA, and assessing and teaching college apprentices. Outside of work Sophie loves board games and is a trustee at VoNCon, a community organisation dedicated to tackling adult loneliness through the power of tabletop gaming.
