Our EDI Network support encompasses all facets of equality within member institutions, reflecting the growing importance of intersectionality in EDI work.
As part of this expansion, we produce briefings on emerging themes like trans rights, the experiences of LGBT+ staff, and neurodivergence.
This is the third and final EDI Network Meeting of the academic year where we will discuss the latest policy developments and good practice - we hope you are able to join us!
We are delighted that Hannah Wilson, Co-Founder and Director of The Belonging Effect will be joining us to share their insights and what they mean for creating inclusive cultures across higher education. Hannah will also offer reflections on the implications of the recent Supreme Court ruling and emerging Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) guidance, providing an opportunity for members to consider how these developments may affect their institutions.
Alongside this, the meeting will include discussion of key policy and regulatory developments likely to shape institutional priorities in the year ahead, including:
- The Office for Students' Freedom of Speech Complaints Scheme
- The Office for Students' Statement of Expectations on Disability
- Forthcoming EHRC guidance
