GuildHE are convening a peer-led session on the recently announced UKRI Impact Accelerator Accounts (IAA) call to support member applications.

IAAs are institutional-level, flexible, early-stage funding that helps organisations accelerate the impact of their research into real world benefits, by supporting a wide range of strategic impact activities.

This funding opportunity harmonises IAA programmes across the following research councils:

  • Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC). Funds available: £155,000 per year
  • Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC), specific allocations to eligible institutions, as detailed in invite letter
  • Medical Research Council (MRC). Funds available: £150,000 to £750,000 per year
  • Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC). Funds available: £70,000 per year

Awards will last for three years and must start on 1 April 2027. The deadline for applications is 15 September 2026.

Participants will hear from colleagues at current AHRC IAA holders Bath Spa University and Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, who will reflect on putting an application together, the experience of running an IAA, and strategies for success.

Available to GuildHE Research member institutions only. To know more about GuildHE membership, please email [email protected].
