On 11 - 12 June GuildHE will hold their third and sold-out GuildHE Research Doctoral Festival at member institution the University of Winchester.

Titled "Beyond the thesis: thriving in research and making it count", the two-day residential event includes a fantastic line up of inspiring speakers, workshops and supportive activities for doctoral students and early-stage researchers. View the programme.

Professor Emile Bojesen, Director of Research & Innovation at the University of Winchester and Rachel Persad, Head of Research Policy at GuildHE said:

"The Doctoral Festival has become a vital feature of the calendar for our community and is taking place at a time of change for research. The UK Government has prioritised missions to stabilise and grow the economy, and tough decisions are being taken on public spending. Funders of research continue to commit to integrity and inclusion in research, and preserving disciplinary diversity, at a time of financial and political challenge, locally and globally.

In challenging times building a supportive community of peers is essential - it’s central to GuildHE Research’s purpose. At this festival we’ve brought together experts in postgraduate training, research impact, and engaging with policy. They will be sharing their insights into wellbeing and embracing the adventure of research, helping students and early-stage researchers identify opportunities to engage with audiences and create impact."
