GuildHE, the representative body for distinctive, smaller-scale and specialist higher education providers, has announced a new partnership with Perlego - the online academic library - to support teaching, learning and research across its membership.
Through this collaboration, GuildHE member institutions can access thousands of digital textbooks and academic resources via an exclusive discount. Institutions can also request a tailored proposal to build a digital library solution that meets their specialist requirements.
This partnership responds directly to key challenges facing the sector, including rising costs, student affordability pressures, accessibility requirements and the continued shift towards digital-first learning and teaching. By improving access to high-quality academic resources, GuildHE and Perlego aim to enhance learning outcomes, support equity of access and strengthen the overall student experience.
GuildHE CEO, Brooke Storer-Church, said: “GuildHE exists to represent and support institutions that are innovative, distinctive and often operating in highly specialised contexts. This partnership with Perlego aligns strongly with our mission, offering our members flexible and cost-effective access to academic resources that support high-quality teaching, learning and research. It also reflects our commitment to exploring new opportunities that deliver tangible value for our members and the students they serve.”
Perlego CEO and Founder, Gauthier Van Malderen, added: “We are delighted to partner with GuildHE and work closely with its members across the UK. Smaller-scale and specialist institutions play a vital role in the higher education ecosystem, and they often face unique challenges around affordability and access to learning materials. Through this partnership, we want to make it easier for institutions to provide inclusive, digital-first resources that support student success and modern teaching practices.”
The GuildHE and Perlego partnership is active immediately with tailored offers and engagement opportunities available to GuildHE’s members.
